Northwest Territories' Minister of Municipal and Community Affairs Shane Thompson says that while people are understandably impatient to get home, safety is the top priority.

He joins Robin Gill with an update on firefighting efforts across his territory including around the worsening situation in Hay River and Fort Smith and what may be in store.
