Following months of anticipation and promotion, the IWBF Wheelchair Basketball World Championships are finally here! Canada’s Capital is hosting the 2026 edition, which gets underway this Wednesday and runs until September 19th. On the Men’s side, Canada is among a crowd of 16 teams, while the Maple Leaf flag is among a list of 10 teams on the Women’s side. Games will be held at the Carleton University Ravens Nest and The Arena at TD Place. CFRA’s Andrew Pinsent chats with Wendy Gittens, the CEO of Wheelchair Basketball Canada.
