A meeting is coming up this afternoon between concerned residents, Shepherds of Good Hope, and city officials about a proposed new supportive housing building with 56 units on Merivale Road. There is already a supportive housing building in the area that has drawn some concern and complaints from local residents arguing it precipitated an increase in crime and overdoses.

That meeting is happening at 3pm.

Frank Germano, an organizer in the Carlington neighbourhood, joins Patricia Boal to explain those concerns and his goals for the meeting. The discussion includes a statement provided by SGH.
