Former TSN 1200 radio host Shawn Simpson passed away this week at the age of 56. In Ottawa he may be remembered best for his role on TSN 1200 from 2012 to 2023, particularly on the show The Drive.

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Simpson was drafted to the NHL in 1986 and later worked in front office jobs for both Washington and Toronto.

Words of condolence have been pouring in online from across sports, radio, and beyond expressing their loss and affection for Simpson.
