Thousands of educators at Carleton University have hit the picket lines. This comes after CUPE Local 4600 and Carleton University failed to reach an agreement before Sunday’s Midnight deadline. The union represents graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants, as well as contract instructors at Carleton. As for the post-secondary institution, it remains open, and several students attended class today. However, some labs and tutorials are in danger of cancellation. James Whitla, a first-year Aerospace Engineering student, explains how this dispute will impact his studies.
