A recent survey into the day-to-day operations of Ontario's education workers delivered shocking results – and not in a good way. The findings revealed a severe crisis in underfunding and understaffing at the Ottawa Catholic School Board, as well as other catholic boards across the province. In turn, student needs are going unmet, fueling an increase in violence at OCSB schools. In fact, 47 percent of the survey’s respondents said they experienced daily incidents of violence. Kristy Cameron combs through the data alongside Cynthia Steeves, who is the President of CUPE 2357. The union represents administration and support staff for the Ottawa Catholic School Board.
