So far this year, Ottawa firefighters have performed approximately 60 water rescues, with most calls occurring on the Ottawa River. And as National Drowning Prevention Week comes to a close, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Do you think mandatory swimming lessons should be served as part of Ontario’s school curriculum? Should this become a Canada-wide approach?
