In several sections of Quebec, you are not allowed to make right turns on a red light. A handful of American cities have implemented a blanket ban on this move, an effort to better protect pedestrians on city roads. And while parts of Downtown Ottawa display a similar rule, the majority of our city’s traffic lights say a right-on-red is fair game. Is it time we changed that?
