At 54 years old, St. Catharines resident Amir Farsoud didn’t want to die. However, after fears of losing his home started to become overwhelming, he submitted an application for medically-assisted death as an alternative to battling homelessness and never-ending back pain. Farsoud has since changed his mind thanks to a stranger who started a GoFundMe campaign and raised thousands of dollars to help him out. He joins Kristy Cameron on Ottawa Now.
