We’re dangerously close to October and the ongoing school bus driver shortage hasn’t been resolved. Frustrated parents are now taking matters into their own hands, assembling a petition to Ontario’s Education Minister. They are calling on Vicky Kyriaco, the General Manager of the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority, to immediately step aside from her post. Concerned parent Jennifer Bugden says parents are afraid of losing their jobs because of tardiness, as they struggle to find school drop-off plans for their kids every morning.
