Dr. Justin Maloney, known by most as the father of paramedicine in Ottawa, passed away Tuesday night. He was a highly-respected visionary in his profession, introducing 911 services and early forms of CPR into the National Capital Region. Maloney’s hard work also led to an expansion of defibrillators in the city, another pivotal resource that has saved countless lives.
