The CFL is asking the federal government for up to $150 million in financial assistance after the league postponed the start of its season because of COVID-19 pandemic. Commissioner Randy Ambrosie outlined the league's three-phase proposal on Tuesday, adding the league is facing never-before-seen financial pressures. If the season is wiped out, Ambrosie fears the CFL's long-term future would be in peril. Moshe Lander is a Senior Lecturer in the Concordia University’s Department of Economics.
