The Canadian Pediatric Society is calling for today’s children to receive cholesterol checks at an earlier age. To be more specific, the latest recommendation suggests screening for all children between the ages of 2 and 10, with the hopes of addressing potential heart risks in their early stages. Dr. Michael Khoury, a pediatric cardiologist, specializes in preventative cardiology at Stollery Children’s Hospital.
