Ottawa Now - Canadian drivers feeling the gas price gut-punch as Iran War rages on

View descriptionShare

Drivers in Ottawa are feeling the ripple effects of the latest conflict in the Middle East, as gas prices sharply spiked this weekend. On Saturday, prices at the pumps rose by about 6 cents per litre, bringing the average price in Canada’s Capital to roughly $1.52 per litre. That’s significant when compared to the prices we saw just 2 weeks ago – when the average price was 19 cents lower. Colin Mang, an economist at McMaster University, dissects the latest round of sticker shock on today's Ottawa Now.
