First, she speaks with Sheryl Matheson, the deputy mayor of Sherridon, Manitoba, a small town the majority of which has evacuated to Dauphin, Manitoba due to massive fires around the community.
She then speaks with Grand Chief Brian Hardlotte of the Prince Albert Grand Council which represents 12 First Nations in Saskatchewan. following up on a joint statement from three local bands calling for increased firefighting resources and support, meeting with the province, and concerns about worsening fire conditions and evacuation.
