Last week, Mississauga City Council declared a Food Insecurity Emergency, as their food bank receives an influx of customers and not enough rations to keep up with the high demands. Ottawa Food Bank CEO Rachel Wilson has since released a statement to the City of Ottawa, calling on the municipality to follow Mississauga’s lead.
