Earlier today, Ottawa city councillors voted to rename the Greenboro Community Centre in honour of longtime colleague Diane Deans. While on the air yesterday, the Ottawa Now team received the sad news that Deans had lost her five-year battle with cancer. She was 65 years old, and spent nearly 30 years of her life on the western side of 110 Laurier Avenue.
