One of them is calling for an infrastructure levy if he’s elected into power this Fall. Jeff Leiper argues that Ottawa’s infrastructure is long in the tooth, and says a 1 percent levy could be just what the doctor ordered. At the same time, he is pledging to keep property taxes ‘affordable and predictable’, though his plan doesn’t include a specific target. He drops by for a visit to explain further.
