Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Wed. October 21st, 2026

For the first time since his exit meetings last April, No. 7 has returned to the Canadian Tire Centre. Technically, he wears No. 8 with his new team, so he’s not No. 7 anymore. Anyways, Brady Tkachuk is back in town with his Sunrise buddies, as the Senators host the visiting Panthers. Sens Army doesn’t plan to receive him with open arms when the puck drops – or at least not like they used to. How bad will the booing get for Brady? Will we see some Tkachuk jerseys raining down from the crowd? Guest host Chris Holski sifts through the CFRA textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Plus, flu season is arriving early in Canada’s Capital, and local health officials are warning residents to brace for impact. In fact, Ottawa Public Health is reporting that influenza activity is already at moderate levels across the city. Joining us in Hour 3 to discuss what to expect, and how to protect yourself, is Dr. Laura Bourns. She is Ottawa’s Associate Medical Officer of Health.
