In 2024, 80 percent of Canadians said they were proud to be Canadian, according to opinion polls. This Spring, as U.S. President Trump began his barrage of Canadian-targeted tariffs, patriotism surged. In fact, it was up six percentage points in early-March, just before the Liberals dropped the writ and called a snap election. And now, one month after Mark Carney won the country’s top job, the polls suggest that the Patriotism Meter has returned to normal levels. On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is your ‘Oh Canada’ decibel?
