Food inflation has pushed Canadians to think differently about the food they eat, even if they shouldn’t be eating it. According to a new report from Dalhousie University’s Agri-Food Analytics Lab, nearly 60 percent of respondents were more inclined to digest expired food products due to today’s sky-high prices. In case you were wondering, this survey collected the opinions of 9,000 people. Out of that group, Gen-Z and Millennials were the most likely to believe they fell ill after eating spoiled foods. The motion itself doesn’t approve such a bylaw, but it enables city staff to study the idea further and provide a series of estimated costs.
