As announced by Prime Minister Carney this morning, some Canadians are getting a GST credit to help manage the rising cost of groceries. According to the feds, a family of four will receive up to $1,890 in 2026 thanks to these increases, compared to $1,100 a year as the credit exists now. A single person would receive $950 this year, compared to the previous $540. Would this GST boost make a difference for you? But first, we hear from Kanata-Carleton MP Jenna Sudds, a former Ottawa city councillor who now works with the Carney Liberals. And finally, we talk politics with our Political Heat Panel.
