Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Fri. March 15th, 2024

View descriptionShare

The Ford government wants to build 1.5 million new homes over the next decade. In order to do that, we need 72,000 new workers by 2027, as the Construction sector deals with a labour shortage. In an effort to address this problem, the province plans to allow Grade 11 students to enter full-time apprenticeships, an idea that has generated mixed reaction. David Moscrop, who recently wrote an op-ed about this topic, joins the show in Hour 2. Plus, we deliver a preview of this weekend’s W5 feature, which delves into the always-dangerous Darien Gap.
