Hour 2 of CFRA Weekends for Sun. May 17th, 2026

View descriptionShare

Six years after COVID came knocking, the deadly Hantavirus outbreak has received humanity's undivided attention. What started as a cruise ship outbreak in the Atlantic Ocean has generated waves of international concern, while simultaneously demonstrating the importance of coordinated responses to potential global health threats. Geoffrey Johnston, an International Affairs columnist with the Kingston Whig-Standard, explains further in his latest column. Meantime, the Artemis II crew is doing a North American tour following their journey to the Moon. CTV’s Vassy Kapelos caught up with them in Montreal, and you will hear some of that conversation in Hour 2. Plus, in today’s edition of This Week In History, Craig Baird of Canadian History EHX details the upbringings of figure-skating legend Barbara Ann Scott, who was born in May of 1928.
