Days after USA and Israel fired the first shots at Iran, today’s conflict in the Middle East spread to Lebanon. And now, children in Lebanon are paying the price, according to the United Nations’ Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. We dig deeper with Geoffrey Johnston, an International Affairs columnist with the Kingston Whig-Standard. Meantime, the Carney government has introduced a 40-cent increase to the federal minimum wage. Last Wednesday, the hourly rate rose from $17.75 to $18.15. And once October rolls around, Ontario’s minimum wage will also be going up, this time to $17.95 per hour. Are these minimum wage increases doing enough?
