A surprise Spring snowstorm is slamming straight into Canada’s Capital this weekend, with 10 to 15 centimetres of snow and up to 10 millimetres of freezing rain expected over the next 3 days. Once that part of the storm has passed, the freezing rain batters the roads and highways on Sunday. We get the latest meteorological outlook from Environment Canada senior climatologist David Philips. Meantime, U.S. President Donald Trump says he had a productive phone call with Mark Carney, holding out hope that the Canada-U.S. relationship will persevere during the trade war. CFRA’s Andrew Pinsent delivers the latest developments, as we await Canada’s top party leaders to speak on the latest tariff twist.
