The Ottawa Police Service is conducting e-scooter enforcement blitzes in Findlay Creek and Riverside South. As you might expect, they are on the lookout for e-scooter and e-bike drivers who aren’t following the rules. Here in Canada’s Capital, the age requirement to drive an e-scooter is 16 years old. For anyone under the age of 18, you must be riding with a helmet and obey a host of other regulations. But in Nova Scotia, they are looking at a U14 ban for both e-scooters and e-bikes. We open that can of worms with Ottawa Police Sergeant Josh Callaghan, who works for the department’s Road Safety Unit.
