The Canadian economy added a surprise 88,000 jobs in May in what StatsCan calls “The first significant employment gain since November 2025'. The increase partially makes up for a net loss of 112,000 jobs over the first fourth months of this year. Graham Richardson speaks with RBC Chief Economist Francis Donald.
