Staff, parents, and volunteers at St. Benedict Elementary School in Barrhaven have organized a production of Disney's The Lion King Jr. happening this Friday and Saturday at St. Paul's High School.
It's a special production meant to ensure kids get opportunities to do creative work, learn to play, cooperate, and shine with each other.
Patricia Boal is joined by co-directors Tola Otujo and Tobi Kalejaiye as well as stage manager Debra Jackson-Lee and performer Anabella Akenuwa to talk more about how the production came together, the effort required to get it rolling, and the benefits to staff, students, and parents alike.
