36 years ago, a 20-minute massacre in Montreal left Canadians in a state of shock. Just before suppertime, an armed man entered L'Ecole Polytechnique with a semi-automatic rifle and a hunting knife. In the wake of his misogynistic violence, 10 women were injured and 14 women lost their lives. 36 years later, more action is still required, as femicide remains a deadly reality in today’s technologically-advanced upbringing.
