After spending over a decade in the House of Commons, Nate Erskine-Smith plans to leave the Carney Liberals in June, and the federal political arena behind him. It also appears that the Toronto-area MP is on shaky ground with the leaderless Ontario Liberal Party. Erskine-Smith lost a provincial nomination race last weekend, failing to clear the first of several hurdles towards party leadership. He alleges there were irregularities within the voting process, while the party insists that the process was clean and fair.
