The Ontario government has tabled a new series of criminal legislations, prioritizing punishments for dangerous driving in the wake of Premier Ford’s ban on speeding cameras. The province says it will also require defendants to pay cash security deposits before they are released from custody, an attempt to ‘tighten’ bail requirements and improve bail compliance.
