CFRA Live - Wildfire season begins in Canada as multiple provinces prepare evacuation orders

View descriptionShare

There are 175 active wildfires burning across Canada, and some of those fumes are starting to drift South. Air quality is at risk of being compromised in parts of the Northern United States. Here at home, evacuation orders have been placed in parts of Manitoba and Saskatchewan, while a pair of First Nations communities in Ontario are preparing for the worst. Anabela Bonada is the Managing Director of Climate Science at the Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation, located at the University of Waterloo. She joins Andrew Pinsent on CFRA Live.
