Canadian Senator Mary Jane McCallum, who represents the province of Manitoba, is a residential school survivor. Taken from her home at just five years of age, she has detailed her personal story of trauma and abandonment, memories that feel very raw following the horrific discovery in Kamloops. Senator McCallum also works to raise awareness and understanding of the residential school system with the help of workshops and presentations across the country. She joins Andrew Pinsent on today’s edition of CFRA Live.
