CFRA Live – The heartbeat of Canadian Women’s Soccer permanently blows the whistle on her International career

View descriptionShare

If you were to name a Top 10 list of the greatest moments in Canadian Women’s Soccer, the odds are pretty high that Christine Sinclair would be somewhere in that photograph. Her most memorable achievement unfolded in Tokyo, as Canada claimed Olympic Gold in 2020. But long before that career-defining moment finally took place, the B.C. native was heavily responsible for the growth of this sport, proving that Canada wasn’t just known for its terrific hockey talent. This week, the 40-year-old opted to bid farewell to her International career, effective on New Year’s Day 2024. TSN 1200’s Michaela Schreiter looks back at Christine’s everlasting impact on the beautiful game.
