Bank Street is one of the busiest streets in Downtown Ottawa, and several destinations are welcoming customers every single hour. The biggest area of operation is, without a question, Lansdowne Park. But does this bustling street have enough room for bus lanes? Is this an idea that the City of Ottawa should pursue throughout Centretown? An open letter from the Centretown Community Association says they should. At minimum, the community group would like to see bus lanes – installed and active – during peak hours. It’s a feature they also want to see implemented at Lansdowne during gamedays. Andrew Pinsent digs deeper with Derek Simpson, the Transportation Chair of the Centretown Community Association.
