CFRA Live - Measles outbreak upticks driven by lower immunization rates

According to the World Health Organization, immunizations have saved 154 million lives from vaccine-preventable diseases. And as we reached the final stages of World Immunization Week, we have seen the dangers of playing with fire. As far back as last Summer, UNICEF and the WHO were growing weary that lower immunization coverage was ‘already driving’ measles outbreaks. Nearing the halfway stages of 2025, things have only gotten worse. Geoffrey Johnston, an International Affairs columnist with the Kingston Whig-Standard, joins Andrew Pinsent on CFRA Live.
