As the U.S. President keeps the pedal to the metal on several Canadian-targeted tariffs, a growing crowd of American cities are doing everything they can to preserve their economic ties with their Northern neighbours. Juliet Abdel, the President of the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce, is based in Kansas. And during a visit to Canada’s Capital next week, she is hoping to not only preserve trade partnerships with the town’s Canadian allies, but to advance them as well. Abdel represents over 1,000 Kansas businesses, with the U.S. state exporting $2.6 billion and importing $2.1 billion in goods from Canada every single year. She joins Andrew Pinsent on CFRA Live.
