Since the height of the Internet’s popularity, we have been warned to not use Google as a crutch to self-diagnose ailments. In the case of Ontario resident Ian Stedman, a simple Google search 10 years ago eventually led to a stunning discovery, not to mention game-changing answers to 32 years of questions. Stedman is now fighting a rare disease called Muckle-Wells Syndrome, a battle that his daughter is being sucked into after she was diagnosed with the exact same thing. He is now hoping that forms of Artificial Intelligence can provide clarity and a road to recovery to other patients who can’t fight their mysterious demons. He joins Andrew Pinsent on CFRA Live.
