Ottawa’s Police Services Board is awaiting further information, and the most affordable plans for local taxpayers, before it plans to proceed any further. An agreement was in place until Monday’s board meeting when OPS requested funding approval for preliminary work on the new project. Alta Vista councillor Marty Carr asked for the deferral, while Police Chief Eric Stubbs defended the OPS’ request and emphasized that time is money for this facility to be built. Meantime, Queen Camilla and King Charles have arrived in Washington for a 4-day visit, as the latter addressed U.S. Congress earlier today.
