But whenever Norm MacDonald stopped by the local comedy club, or made an appearance on late-night television, most Canadians couldn’t help but watch. Sadly, the 61-year-old comedian passed away on Tuesday after a private battle with cancer, a gut-punching headline that left the world of comedy in a state of shock. One comedian who spent a lot of time with Norm over the years is Mark McKinney. Born in Ottawa, he previously starred on Saturday Night Live and recently starred in NBC’s ‘Superstore’.
