A growing number of Ontario politicians have spent countless hours advocating for a way to dismiss city councillors for inexcusable behaviours, actions that range from frequent Code of Conduct violations to harassment of staff members. Today, they are feeling a mixture of relief and frustration with the Doug Ford government, as the province tabled a last-minute government bill this week. Ontario Liberal MPP Stephen Blais had previously made two attempts to pass a private member's bill to address this issue, but to no avail.
