The sky-high demand for food bank usage began as a fierce snowstorm that everyone prayed would end. Today, an overwhelming avalanche looms large, with a new report from Food Banks Canada serving as the latest warning sign. Canada saw 1.5 million visits to food banks in March of 2022, a 15 percent increase from March of last year and a 35 percent increase from that same month in 2019.
