Rising golfer Elvis Smylie has declared he will make his debut in an American major at Quail Hollow.
Smylie had a breakout summer where he won the BMW Australian PGA Championship in 2024 and went on to contest the British Open.
Smylie told Peter Psatlis on Wide World of Sports, "It was a pretty cool feeling, and I'm really excited to bring Mum and Dad along the ride with me."
"I think the success that I've had over the past year has been a byproduct of all the work that I've put in years and years ago."
"The opportunity that I'll have next week it's a position that I believe I should be in and to be able to, you know, go out there and compete against some of the world's best."
"It's just it's another stepping stone for me to achieve what I wanted to in this game," Smylie continued.
