Gehamat Shibasaki has been the breakout player in the 2025 NRL season, winning the Battle Medal in the Broncos' victory over the Dolphins. 

Shibasaki made his debut for the Bulldogs in 2018 but did not play consistently for any club until re-signing with the Broncos. 

However, he impressed Michael Maguire in the 2025 pre-season. 

Gehamat Shibasaki told Peter Psaltis on Wide World of Sports, "I just put my head down and never stopped working."
