Inshore Flats Project writer and advocate Chris Burgess responds to Minister

View descriptionShare

We’ve been covering this story for a little while now: in South East Queensland there is gill netting in the Logan and Albert Rivers which are destroying our water ways.

But there is another form of net called tunnel netting and it has kicked up a big stink in many fishing communities. The Inshore Flats project is a fishing community which is standing against tunnel netting. They have tried to reach out to the minister of primary industries with little to no response.

Following Minister for Primary Industries Tony Perrett's appearance on the show last week; writer and advocate of the Inshore Flats Project, Chris Burgess, joins Burty to share his thoughts about the minister's response.
