On the show today: Olympia is back and covering the day's headlines, including reports of duplicate transactions appearing for some Commonwealth Bank customers during the week. 

Gardening sees Arno King and Olympia talking about spice gardens! With all the sun coming our way, Arno talks through some of the key spices that could thrive during this time if planted.
Arno also answers your questions - including how to deal with mosquitoes in a small backyard, why growing ginger from store bought roots is illegal in QLD, and what veggies would be ideal to plant at this time of year.  
PLUS Arno shares some great gardening events coming up, including the Buderim Garden Festival!


In the second hour; we get another update on the ‘Royals Down Under’ from 2GB journalist Katie Fuller, as King Charles and Queen Camilla commence their engagements in Australia.
We also hear from Q Shelter Executive Director Fiona Caniglia, following their launch of a landmark study into the effect of the Olympic Games on homelessness and the local housing market in the lead up to Brisbane 2032. Fiona talks us through how the study will work.
PLUS Friday 25th October is World Champagne Day! We hear from Emporium Hotel Southbank’s Director of Beverage, Rob Brady, who tells us what they will be doing to mark the occasion.

On the show today: Olympia covers the day's headlines, including recent polls showing that a Labor election victory may not be on the cards, despite Premier Steven Miles being almost level with David Crisafulli in the preferred premier stakes. 
Gardening is back for another week, and sees Paul Plant and Olympia myth-bust chemical vs organic approaches in your garden. Paul tells us why he thinks gardening “naturally” is a better term, and how “chemical-free” gardening doesn’t really exist. Paul also answers your questions about oleander trees, how to get the best out of a hippeastrum bulb and if fertiliser can help to grow hotter chilies. PLUS Paul introduces his plant of the week: Beach Vitex or Coastal Vitex (Vitex rotundifolia) - an underrated plant that is often used for council rehabilitation projects near the beach.

The Eagleby Community and Wetlands Group are doing a public display to show the 200m width of the planned Coomera Connector tollway corridor crossing the Albert and Logan rivers. The group is advocating for better use of road funding to fix existing roads as an alternative to a new and destructive corridor. We hear more from group member Robert Livingstone.
