Australia's multibillion-dollar agricultural industry is facing a massive threat as destructive Varroa mites push bee colonies to the brink of collapse.
University of the Sunshine Coast researcher Volker Herzig revealed how he "milked" thousands of spiders to find a fascinating, targeted venom toxin that destroys the mites while keeping bees and humans completely safe.
