The use of AI actors is causing a stir in Hollywood as the technology continues to improve. Creative industries academic at QUT, Dr Ruari Elkington, joined Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive to discuss the concerns for the future.
Elkington told Hardgrave, "The human element is paramount. We're always going to need to be in spaces with other people. That's why cinemagoing remains a robust activity that people flock to even though we can watch Netflix at home."
"I certainly don't think anyone would want a world in which that human creative element is replaced entirely by technology. That seems like a dystopian future." Elkington continued.
