View descriptionShare

Swinburne University neuroscientist Professor Alan Pearce joined Gary Hardgrave to talk about the tragic death of his friend, former New Zealand rugby player Shane Christie, from chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).

Professor Pearce explains that CTE is caused by the accumulation of "sub-concussive hits" to the head over time, and he highlights the need for more research and awareness.
